What is Pilates?

Pilates is a method of exercise that was created by Joseph Pilates in the 1920’s, this method has continued to evolve and has become one of the most popular forms of exercise. Pilates focuses on using deep abdominals also known as your core, to provide you strength and stability from the inside out. Pilates is beneficial for rehab of injuries, to improve strength, improve flexibility, for relaxation or as a general fully body workout. It is recommended to do classes twice a week to achieve faster results but once a week will also provide benefits just a bit slower.

Pricing and Booking

Before starting class you need to do an initial assessment where an instructor will assess you to determine what needs to be included into your class to achieve the best results for you. You will also learn some of the basics of Pilates, so that you can then join group classes or continue with one on ones if you choose.

You should wear comfortable clothing that you can exercise in and we ask that you wear socks for your class.

With our online booking system you can book your classes online easily. Either through logging onto the website or using the MindBody Connect App. If you wish to have a permanent spot in your chosen class time (subject to availability). This booking reserves your place till the end of the year, therefore even when at the end of your current block that place will be held. If you choose not to continue with that reserved time please do let us know so that someone else can take that place. Alternatively you can book week to week to suit your schedule.
